Family Trip Circa 2003
This painting was inspired by a family trip to NY. It was our first time traveling to the Big Apple and my most vivid memory was stepping out of the car and seeing the biggest, illuminated white sign that read “Bloomingdale’s” in black lettering.
As we entered the store nothing but bright and colorful swimsuits surrounded us. Tropical bikinis, classy one pieces, and vibrant flowing sarongs. Literally endless. As I peered over at my sisters, I saw they were just as jaw dropped as I.
This trip, was by far the most memorable of all our family vacations. Moments we shared still continuously spark tear dropping laughs today.
Dedicated to my late Step Father Abi
